刘万章的民间文学搜集实践与主张

On the Practice and Proposition of Folk Story Collection by Liu Wan-zhang

刘万章不仅搜集与整理了数量可观的民间文学作品,而且还对民间文学的有关问题进行了研究,他指出民间文学具有多重价值,如历史、教育、文学等方面都有研究资料价值。其次,民间文学含有新的文学类型。他还提出了有关搜集和整理民间文学的原则和方法。

Apart from his collection and classification of a few folk stories, Liu Wan-zhang had done some research into the subject to some extent and pointed out that folk literature displayed great value and deserved research in the aspects like history, education and literature, and that new literature types embodied in folk literature. He also put forwards some suggestions on the eriteria for folk literature collection and classification.
