In the course of probing into the approach to China＇ s socialist construction suited to China＇ s national conditions, Mao Zedong raised some valuable ideas, accumulated some successful experiences, yet made some serious mistakes, which caused China pay a high price. Summing up these experiences and lessons is important to clarify historical position of Deng Xiaoping＇ s theory of socialist construction suited to China＇s national conditons and is also important to direct China＇s construction of socialist modernization.
