《法国民法典》体现了法国大革命时期所倡导的自由和平等的精神。但它并没有彻底割断历史,而是在革命的基础上对历史和传统的继承和妥协,尤其是在婚姻家庭法领域表现得十分突出,完全丧失了财产法领域以及债法领域中随处可见的自由、平等精神。

French Civil Statute is great achievement of the French revolution,and shows freedom and equality initiated in the Great Revolution. But it is not completely separated from history. Instead, it is an inheritance and compromise to history and tradition on the basis of revolution, especially in the field of marriage and family law. There is completely no free and equal revolutionary spirit shown everywhere in property law and debt law.
