A new method for measuring the rotational speed of loeomative diesel engine is put forward. It can be put into practice by frequency eomparision and without using the special rotational speed sensors, It has been applied in the model Dongfeng 4B diesel loeomative overhaul test. It has the very high function-price rate and a simple operation. The measurement principle is introduced and the method is realized.
