Research History of Lectin and Its Bio-functions

介绍凝集素的发现和发展历史,在近20年中,从植物、动物和微生物中提取了多种凝集素,并且结构已经被确定。同时,对凝集素的结构和生物功能进行了概述,如凝集素的保护和共生作用,凝集素在复杂生物系统中具有识别分子的作用,在细胞与分子间、细胞与细胞间的信号识别起重要作用。

The history on discovery and development of lectin are introduced. In recent twenty years, many lectins were discovered extracting from the plants, animals and microbes and the structure of them are determined. Meanwhile ,the structure and bio-functions of lectins are narrated, such as the protective action and symbiotic action of lectins, indentifying molecular actions in the complex organism, the important actions of recognition between cell and molecular and intracellular signal indentification and so on.
