The color purple is a famous representative of the novels exposing the fates of the black women. In the novel there are a lot of problems existed in the society. In this essay, we will mainly talk about Celie-the heroine and discuss how she grow to be an independent black woman from an underdog from sex, religion, sexual sense, and racial pride.
