Real-time three-dimensional echocardiography (RT-3DE) will provide a great potential tool for clinical diagnosis and treatment. In this article, the author introduced the clinical usefulness of RT-3DE, expatiated its strongpoints compared with two-dimensional image and prospected its developing direction in the future.
