Studies on the Application of the Multimedia Technique in Industrial Monitoring Control

研究了把多媒体技术引进监控领域从而改善现有的报警形式．提出了多媒体声频监控系统的结构，并在运用小波分析等数字信号处理算法的基础上，达到了对声音（特别是周期性声音）的变化进行同步声频报警的监控目的．

Multimedia is one of the most active areas in computer science nowadays. The main object of this paper is to improve the monitoring control by introducing the multimedia into it. In the paper, the structures of the multimedia sound monitoring control system (MSMCS) are given. Wavelet algorithm is added to MSMCS besides the fast fourier transform (FFT) algorithm for its multiresolution characteristic. The goal of the MSMC is to give a synchro-sound alarm signal as soon as the sound (especially cyclic sound) changes.
