摘要
从20世纪90年代以来,学界在中国近代自由主义的研究方面取得不菲成果。作为舶来品的中国自由主义具有怎样的思想和性格特征?哪些人可以被称为中国的自由主义者?他们的区别该作如何的类型划分?自由在自由主义者那里究竟是价值理性还是工具理性?造成自由主义在中国失败命运的原因有哪些?本文将研究中涉及的问题主要概括为如上这些方面进行了简要评述,并在此基础上展望了未来一段时间内可能的研究取向。
Much has been accomplished in the studies on Chinese modern liberalism since the 1990s. The paper analyzed five aspects in these researches. They are. What are the characteristics of Chinese liberalism as an imported conception in terms of ideas and personality？ Who are recognized as Chinese liberalists？ How to classify these Chinese liberalists？ Is liberty rationale of value or rationale of instrument to these liberalists？ What are the causes for failure of liberalism in China？ Prospects for future research are also discussed.
