A Probe on the Teaching Mode of Cultivating Students' Comprehensive English Ability in Newly-built Local Undergraduate University in Developing Areas in China

大学英语教学中,要以教师为指导,以学生为主体,以多媒体和网络技术为支撑,优化课程设置,发挥传统教学优势,加强对学生听、说、读、写、译能力的训练,提高不同层次学生的英语综合应用能力,培养学生自主学习的习惯和探究学习的精神。教学中大力转变教学观念,开展各种英语学习活动,公正、客观、多角度评价学生。尊重学生的个性特点,关爱学生,教书育人。

In the teaching of College English, with the help of multi-media and internet technology, the class teaching should be student-centered and the teacher should act as a supervisor. The course establishment optimizes and elaborates the advantages of the traditional teaching and strenghthens the exercises of listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating to cultivate the students＇ integrated ability and their initiative study habit. In teaching, we should change the teaching concept and carry out a great variety of activities in teaching and study, and estimate the students from different angles justly, and objectively. At the same time, the teacher should respect the students＇ characters, show solicitude for the students teach them knowledge and cultivate their characters.
