Review of “sound of insects chirping in the grass”——On the feeling of life in JiaDao`s poems

贾岛是一位极具个性色彩的诗人。其诗中清凉色调的弥漫,映射出时代的衰败颓丧;而诗人穷愁哀苦的自我形象,则凸现了时代风云对于个体灵魂的刻镂。他用心灵去体悟生命的真义,远离了世事喧嚣,却接近了更为广阔的自由空间。从某种意义上说,诗人贾岛真正提升了文学对于生命本身的价值。

JiaDao was a poet with an extremely individual colour. His works filled with a doleful vein reflects the decline of the era; his self-image which is poverty-stricken and full of worries shows the engraving on his soul by the unstable era situation. He felt the true meaning of life attentively. Although he was far away from the noise of the world, he was close to a broader free space. To some extent, JiaDao really improved the literate value to life itself.
