法制教育主体与法制教育内容、客体以及方法同为法制教育学的基本范畴之一,它是指负有一定法制教育责任的,对教育对象的基本法律知识的增加以及现代法律意识的培养和形成施加可控制影响的人。其具体范围应包括家长、从事法制教育的教师、社区法制教育工作人员、大众媒体法制教育工作人员以及司法机关法制教育工作人员等群体。法制教育工作能否取得成效有赖于上述群体的主体性的充分发挥。
