On Quyuan's Everlasting Influence Among the People

屈原是中国历史上知名度最高的一位文人,人民爱戴他,甚至用一个节日来纪念他,究其原因,与其忠诚的品格、悲剧性的命运、忧国忧民的责任感、文学史上的首位著名诗人的地位及后世文人的大力推崇有很大关系。

This paper aims to investigate some of the major reasons why Quyuan is still deeply loved by the Chinese people and his influence still strongly felt today. The author argues that these underlying reasons include his unparalleled patriotism, tragic fate, sense of responsibility and urgency, and the privileged position he occupies in the history of Chinese literature as China＇s first well- known poet.
