摘要
潘承玉著《求真与问美:古典小说名著新探》一书,是近年来古典小说研究的一部力作。该书有以下特点:一、“采铜于山”的学术精神,二、大胆敏锐的学术识见,三、平等、严谨的学术对话,四、多种研究方法的综合运用。
This paper reviews Professor Pan Chengyu＇ s monograph The Masterpieces of Classical Novels Revisited （2005）, which is widely acclaimed as one of the most insightful works on classical novels in recent years. The author maintains that the book has the following merits： first, the author＇s academic spirit of ＂mining copper in the mountains＂ ;second, the author＇s boldness and profound insight; third, the adoption of a rigorous approach, and finally the combined use of various research methodologies.
