Survey on Human Health Effects From Large-scale Application of Disinfectants

目的了解大规模持续使用消毒剂对人群健康的影响。方法采取问卷方式对社区居民、医院工作人员和消毒剂喷洒人员三类代表性人群进行2003年SARS流行期间大规模使用消毒剂影响的回顾性调查。结果三类代表性人群认为对健康的影响主要表现在眼睛、呼吸等方面的急性作用;受影响最敏感人群为儿童;认为有必要使用消毒剂者占接受调查人数的78.9%。结论大规模使用消毒剂对人体健康有影响;预防类似传染性非典型性肺炎(SARS)疫情需要使用消毒剂;使用消毒剂时必须采取防护措施。

Objective To discover the human health effects from the large scale application of disinfecting agents.Methods： A retrospective study was performed through questionnaires including the community populations, the hospital medical professionals who were exposed to the disinfectants, and the operators who delivered these disinfectors during the period of SARS epidemics in 2003. Results The primary effects were acute irritation sensations of the eyes and respiratory tracts, and the most sensitive population was the children. About 78.9% of people who received survey felt that the application of disinfectants during the epidemic period was necessary. Conclusions The application of disinfectants has influences on public health, therefore, individual protective measures are warranted when using the disinfectors in the similar situations.
