由于经济转轨、人口老龄化等,使得我国现行的养老保险制度存在着很多问题。就中国的国情而言,通过建立单一的养老保险制度来解决人们的养老问题是不现实的,必须要建立起多层次、多类型的养老保险体系,而补充养老保险就是此体系的重要组成部分。

During the establishing of social system in China, the old - age insurance, one of the main pillars for social security, is very important for the whole social security system＇s reform and construction. But we should be aware that the Chinese old-age insurance still has many problems because of economic restructuring and population aging. In regard to Chinese reality, it is not realistic to pay all pensions for people only through building an old - age insurance system. A multiplayer old - age insurance system should be constructed, which includes the supplementary old- age insurance.
