“外交缺陷”是相对于外交优势而言。新中国以来的中国外交成就非凡。也许正因为此,我们可能就相对忽略了对外交缺陷的关注。实际上,对外交缺陷的关注,是为了更好地在实践中把握外交先进性。就中国外交而言,最紧迫的外交缺陷表现在社会主义中国的意识形态在外交过程中的制约、高级外交官选拔机制的相对封闭和外交指导理论研究的结构性缺陷等。本文试图对这些紧迫的外交缺陷问题提出一些解决的建议。

Diplomatic flaws are in comparison with diplomatic advantages. China has made great progress in her diplomacy since new China was founded. Perhaps, because of this, we have ignored the diplomatic flaws to some degree. Actually, the consciousness of diplomatic flaws helps to grasp diplomatic advantages better. The most serious diplomatic flaws are mirrored in the influence of socialistic ideology on the diplomatic process, the relatively close mechanism of electing top diplomats, the structural flaws of the research on diplomatic theory and so on. The paper tries to give some positive advice on how to overcome diplomatic flaws.
