摘要
近年来,在教育界经常听到“批判性思维”这一词语,那么什么是批判性思维?在英语教学中又该如何培养学生的批判性思维?本文将对此进行探讨。笔者根据自己编写和教授综英教材Viewpoints的体会提出:在英语教学中学生的批判性思维能力的培养主要取决于四大要素:选用有趣有争议性的话题、多媒体的使用、民主和谐氛围的创造及评价方式的改革。因而英语教师应主要从这几方面着手,在英语教学中尽量地为学生创造一个良好的环境,培养并提高学生的批判性思维。
We often hear ‘critical thinking' in education. But what does it mean? Why is it important? What can English teachers do to promote students' critical thinking? These are the questions this paper is going to address.Based on the compiling and teaching of Viewpoints of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, the author centers on the analysis of the factors affecting the cultivation of critical thinking in English-teaching classrooms and suggests English teachers should try to create a favorable environment for critical thinking in classrooms in order to foster students' critical thinking.
