A Study of Library Profession Issues from Career Viewpoint——Comparative analysis of two surveys on academic library profession issues in Tianjin

文章比较分析了1988年和2005年两次天津地区高校图书馆职业调查结果,提出应从职业生涯的角度看待图书馆职业,并运用职业生涯开发和管理的方法,来解决图书馆职业存在的各类问题。

Based on the comparative analysis of two surveys on academic library profession which were conducted at Tianjin in 1988 and 2005,the article puts forward that library profession should be looked on from career viewpoint. Some issues which have obsessed our profession for a long time should be resolved by career development and management methods.
