随着互联网的全球化发展趋势,跨语言信息检索日益成为信息检索领域中的重要课题,跨语言检索可用一种提问语言检索出用另一种语言书写的信息。文章主要对跨语言信息检索理论应用研究进行了探讨,并对其在专业领域数据库中的应用提出一种思路。

With the development of internet and booming of the global economy, Cross-language information retrieval （CLIR）, where queries and documents are in different languages, has of late become one of the major topics within the information retrieval community. This paper reports the tentative investigation of CLIR from the theory and practice, and give a method of it＇ s application in database of special field.
