A new type of plasma arc equipment with four functions including plasma arc welding,cutting, spraying and surfacing process was designed and manufactured. To obtain the good processing stability and the multifunction integration. The silicon controlled rectifiers(SCR) and the programmable controller(PC) were introduced. The operation of this new machine shows the advantages of the simple circuit designation, flexible control manner, low fault rate and easy maintenance.
