评美台“共同防御条约”

Appraises USA and Taiwan "Joint Defense Treaty"

美台“共同防御条约”是美国反共反华遏制战略的产物,是维系当时美台特殊关系的核心文件,也是对中国内政的公开干涉。美台“共同防御条约”的基础是以所谓“台湾地位未定论”为依据,以“台湾中立化”为基准目标。该条约具有三个明显特征,即较大的弹性、长期遏制性及美国的绝对主导性。

USA and Taiwan ＂Joint Defense Treaty＂ is the product of American opposition to China＇s Communist Party and Chinese govemment. Its purpose is not only to maintain the special relations between USA and Taiwan, but to interfere the Chinese intemal affairs publicly. The foundation of the ＂Joint Defense Treaty＂ is that Taiwan is free to choose its nationality so that it could be neutral. Anyone can see three obvious characteristics in this treaty： bigger elasticity, long-term containment and absolutely leadership of USA.
