西汉王朝在建立统一的封建帝国之后虽然制定了一系列的休养生息政策,但在王朝的实际社会生活中,无论统治阶级还是普通百姓都普遍存在着尚武之风。研究这一相对和平稳定时期的尚武之风对于更进一步解读尚武的深刻含义以及了解西汉社会当时的思想文化和社会风尚都有重要意义。

Though the Western Han dynasty made a series of policies on recuperation and rehabititation after building the united feudal empire, during the course of real operation, there was the martial spirit in both the ruling class and the common people. Studying the martial spirit, it had much signification for further understanding the ideas and culture in Western Han dynasty and unscrambling the profound meanings of the martialism in the relatively peaceful and steady period.
