In the aviation, spaceflight and machine fields, system for sequentially operating units is widely used. It is important to analyse the availability of system considering the failure monitor and switch unit distribution. A new analysis method of the true state of system is presented. Furthermore, the system state transfer chart is constructed, and the differential equations are built. Take an example to illustrate the analysis and calculation method. The method can be easily programmed and used in availability analysis of system for sequentially operating units.
