Talking about Emperor Xiaowen of Han Dynasty in Historical Records

《史记.孝文本纪》与《汉书.文帝纪》比照,可以看出“迁书体圆用神”“班氏体方用智”的差异,亦见从《史记》创设的本纪到《汉书》成为后世史书范例本纪过渡的完成。文中记事表现出刘恒就位时的人心向背、其思想借鉴中所闪动的历史底蕴的余光和能自主协调政事的胆识。司马迁对汉文帝形象的塑造,对认识秦始皇、汉武帝的作为有重要的比照价值。

Judging from the narration of Emperor Xiaowen of Han Dynasty in Historical Records and in History of Ban Dynasty, we can find the differences in portraying Emperor Xiaowen in the two books and the changes in the style of writing the emperor＇s history. The narration indicates the direction in which people feel toward his regime before he seized the power, his thought using history as the reference, his courage and insight of harmonizing the governance. The narration of Emperor Xiao Wen by Sima Qian is very valuable for analyzing Emperor Wu Di in Han dynasty and Emperor Shi Huang in Qin Dynasty.
