Explanation of Li(麗)

从私人所藏一片甲骨卜辞中出现的“麗”字,考证“麗”本从“鹿”,从双“角”,会鹿角美丽之意。引申有“对偶”之意。“麗”从双“角”,“角”也是“麗”的声符。“丽”是“麗”的简化。同时,考证卜辞“麗”的地望。

This paper tries to verify a point that the Li （麗） is composed of Lu（鹿）and double Jiao（角 ）o And the meaning of Li（麗） is that the deerhorn is beautiful. Double is its extending meaning. Li（麗）is composed of Lu（鹿）and double Jiao（角） is its phonic symbol. Li（丽）is the simplified character of Li （麗）. Meanwhile we try to verify the site of Li（麗）.
