摘要
全世界居住在城市的青年人越来越多地寻找机会在影响他们生活的问题上发表自己的意见——说出他们生活中有关快乐与痛苦的真实情况。
Young people in cities around the wodd are increasingly finding opportunities to voice their opinions about the issues that affect them——to speak the truth about the joy and hurt that maps their lives. Nearly 10 years of experience in UNESCO's Growing Up in Cities project offers a number of important lessons. The project found that young people have consistently expressed a strong desire to be consulted, to be heard, and to be constructive partners in improving their lives. UN-HABITAT and other global agencies have an important role to play in supporting young people's participation, facilitating partnerships with local municipalities and researchers, and modeling a decision making environment that listens to and values the voices of young people. By understanding and responding to the truths that map young people's lives, we might find a better path to the future.
