In adults English teaching of open education, there exist advantages and disadvantages of adults for learning English. The analysis of advantages and disadvantages will facilitate their learning. During the teaching, English teachers should embody the guiding principle which is ＂teachers-supervising and students- centered＂, follow the teaching principles and the particularities of adult learners and continually explore new teaching methods and ways according to the learners＇ realistic status.
