对延长法定退休年龄的几点思考

Reflection on Lengthening Lawful Retiring Age

目前我国企事业单位在为职工办理退休时仍依据1958年有关法定退休年龄的规定。随着生活水平的提高,人均寿命的延长,这一规定逐渐显示出其弊端。延长法定退休年龄有利于减轻养老保险基金负担、充分利用人力资本,因此,根据我国经济发展状况,通过立法形式科学预测和合理确定法定退休年龄势在必行。

Now the enterprises and offices still arrange the retirement for the staffs on the 1958＇s regu lations about lawful retiring age. But with the improvement of living standard and the prolongation of average life-span the regulations gradually show their defects. The prolongation of lawful retiring age is beneficial to both lightening the burden of old-age pension and the full use of manpower resources. Therefore it is necessary to estimate and establish the reasonable lawful retiring age by legislation.
