Practice the Important Thoughts of "the Three Represents" to Advance Tibetan Studies

改革开放以来,在党和国家对藏学研究事业的高度重视下,我国的藏学研究事业取得了历史性的进步,在藏学研究的各个领域都取得了丰硕的成果。在全国先后建立了一批具有现代研究水平的科研机构,为藏学研究事业的进步和发展做出了巨大的贡献。西藏大学中国藏学研究所,作为国家教育部人文社会科学百所重点研究基地,即面临着难得的发展机遇,同时也面临着严峻的挑战。

Since Reformation and Open Policy have been undertaken in China, as both the Communist Party and the nation pay great attention to Tibetan Studies, it has made the greatest progress historically, and yielded a rich harvest in each domain of Tibetan Studies. Many scientific research institutes with modem research level have been established successively in the whole country. The institutes have made a tremendous contribution to the development of Tibetan Studies. As one of the hundred chief research bases of Humanities and Social Sciences of National Ministry of Education, China Tibetan Studies Institute in Tibet University gets not only a rare opportunity of development, but also a stem challenge.
