颓废、没落是郁达夫的个人思想表现,而在这种思想呈现的背后,折射出的却是个人命运与时代和社会的冲突.郁达夫颓废思想有其产生的根源.郁达夫以自我暴露、自甘堕落作为同命运进行抗争的手段毕竟是消极的,不能使个人从根本上获得拯救,以颓废进行命运的抗争,其结果必定走向没落.

Declining and decadent are the right words for a description of Yu Da-fu＇s sentiments in the old times of China. His decadent sentiment is an embodiment of the interaction between his personal fate and the society of that time. On the basis of this point, the present paper makes a probe into the root of Yu Da-fu＇s decadent sentiments. It is claimed in this paper that self-indulgence and self-abasement would not result in self-salvation but self-degradation in morality and in existence.
