Breeding Report of a New Naked Oats Variety Dingyou No.5 with High-quality

莜麦新品种定莜5号系定西市旱作农业科研推广中心以当地大莜麦为母本、和丰1号为父本进行有性杂交选育而成。该品种2001—2004年在定西市区试及多点示范中较对照品种定莜1号增产3．40%-19．30％；2003—2004年示范产量较对照品种定莜1号增产12．90％-28．20％。株高67-142cm，千粒重17．5～22．8g，生育期96-105d；籽粒含粗蛋白19．60％、粗脂肪7．32％、赖氨酸0．81％、亚油酸37．37％；抗旱性强，抗坚黑穗病，丰产性好。适宜在定西市干旱半干旱山区及同类地区推广种植。

The new naked oats variety Dingyou No. 5 was bred by crossing of local big grain Naked oats （female） and Hefeng No. 1 （male） by Dingxi Dryland Farming Research and Extension Center. The average yield of Dingyou No. 5 increased 3.40%-19.30% over check Dingyou No. 1 in the Dingxi regional test in 2001-2004. The average yield of Dingyou No. 5 increased 12.90%-28.20% over check Dingyou No. 1 in 2003-2004. The plant height of Dingyou No. 5 is 67-142 cm：1 000- grain weight 17.5 - 22.8 g; maturity period 96- 105 days; average kernel crude protein 19.6%; crude fat 7.32%; lysine 0.81; llinoleic acid 37.37%. Dingyou No. 5 resist to drought and oats stinking smut and the yield is high. It can be planted in semi-arid（or arid） mountainous areas of Dingxi city and the similar areas.
