Europe Tests Core Elements of New ATM System

欧洲的一些空中交通管制组织已为21世纪用的新型综合空中交通管理系统(ATM)开发和试验了一些核心部件。负责该项目的人员已对去年年底结束的初步演示完成了分析,得到的结果证实一些新技术和计算机辅助工具对空管员和飞机机组都是可以接受的,而且已将它们综合在一个完整的空/地系统内作了演示。

Through PHARE program, Europe is developing the core elements of new ATM system . PHARE calls for aircrew to request a flight path, which is then approved by ground controllers, and then fly that trajectory under continuous positive ATC control. An Experimental FMS was developed to keep aircraft within time and space clearances designated by ATC. Some computerized tools for ground controllers were also developed .
