Graphological iconicity is a special type in the iconicity theory of cognitive linguistics. It mainly fails into the category of markedness iconicity but may also comply with the iconicity of quantity, the iconicity of distance or the iconicity of order. From the two aspects of classification and layout this paper discusses the graphologlcal iconicity in headlines of English newspapers and periodicals from, trying to dig out the relationship between form and meaning.
