On the North-Shanxi Cake Culture

“国以民为本,民以食为天”,饮食是民众物质生活的重要内容,也是精神文明赖以存在的前提和基础,同时,饮食也是一种文化。作为饮食一个组成部分的糕也是如此,它集物质、精神于一体,且以物质为载体负载着民众千百年来的精神企盼和追求,从而透视出民众的深层文化心理。这种传承久远、固成模式的糕文化是广大民众“生存”的结果,是民族文化心理的外显形态;而这种民族文化心理,又势必会影响糕文化。

＂The country is based on the people, food is god for the people. ＂The diet is the important content of people＇s material life. It is prerequisite and foundation that the spiritual civilization depends on the existence too. Meanwhile, the diet is a kind of culture too. The cake as a component of the diet is like this too. It incorporates material, spirit into an organic whole. And regard material as people＇ s age - old spiritual hope of carrier load and pursue. Thus perspect out people＇s deep culture psychology. This kind pass on remote firm to become cake of mode culture whether national culture outside of psychology show one ＇ s color the attitude. And such national culture psychology, certainly will influence cake culture.
