明清之际,天主教传入澳门并持续发展。这一时期,澳门主教区成立,天主教各大修会耶稣会、方济会、奥斯定会、多明我会等纷纷驻足澳门。澳门天主教获得了空前的发展,澳门成为各修会对中国及远东地区传教的基地,使远东地区天主教事业获得前所未有的发展。

During the transition from Ming to Qing Dynasty,the Catholic was introduced and expanded in Macao.At the time,the main parish was founded in Macao and the Society of Jesus,the Franciscan Order,the Agostinho Order and Dominican Order came to Macao in succession.Catholicism developed unprecedentedly and Macao became the missionary base for China and the Far East which promoted the development of the Catholicism in the Far East.
