酉阳历史之考证

A Textual Research of Youyang History

今酉阳南宋以前无行政建置,到南宋高宗建炎三年(1129)夔门人冉守忠助剿苗乱有功爱封酉阳知寨子孙世袭,其5世孙冉维义因平苗有功,酉阳改寨为州,从而结束了酉阳无行政建置的历史。元仁宗建祐七年(1314)改酉阳等处军民宣慰司,此为酉阳土司之始,到清乾隆元年(1376)“改土归流”,酉阳土司制历时422年。

There had been no executive institutions in Youyang before South Song Dynas it became a stockaded village because of Ran Shouzhong who helped put down the rebellion ty until 1129 when of Miao nationality and later became a canton because of Ran Xiongyi, the fifth generation offspring of Ran Shouzhong, who also helped put down the rebellion of Miao. In 1314, Youyang was changed into a Yuanwei Si which lasted for 442 years until 1376.
