摘要
英汉语言中表示各种颜色的词语都很丰富,无论就其本身的基本意义还是文化象征意义,都具有相同或不同的特点,对这些特点进行比较有益于对颜色词本身的进一步了解,并对跨文化交流提供一定的参考。
Color words are abundant both in English and Chinese. They have similarities and disparities either on their original or symbolic meaning. This paper aims to make a comparison and contrast on these characteristics so as to have a further understanding of color words and give some reference to intercultural communication.
