金宣宗对宋政策之失误

The Fault of Emperor Jin Xuanzong’s Policy toward Song Dynasty

兴定元年(1217年),金宣宗在三面受敌的形势下,又发动了攻宋战争,不但未能达到拓展疆土、掠取宋朝淮南之地财物以及迫使宋人重新交纳岁币的目的,反而将宋朝推向敌方联盟,造成四面受敌以及“兵财俱困”的窘境,严重地削弱了金朝的抗蒙能力,加速了金朝的灭亡。

Emperor Jin Xuanzong（金宣宗） waged a war against;nst Song Dynasty in the first year of Xingding（兴定元 1217年） under the situation of having been attacked by the enemies from three directions with the aim to extend territory, to grab money and goods of Huainan（淮南） of Song Dynasty and to compel Song to hand in annual taxes again. Nevertheless, the original intention of Jin Dynasty fell through and the Song Dynasty has been pushed to the enemy alliance, thus the Jin Dynasty had been utterly surrounded by enemies and fell into the plight of lacking both soldiers and money. The capacity to resist Mongol has been reduced greatly.
