中国农民工问题研究总报告

Reporting on the Problems of Chinese Farmer-turned Workers

农民工是推进中国经济和社会发展的重要力量。现阶段农民工面临的问题已引起党中央、国务院的高度关注。在建设社会主义新农村的重大政策安排下，中国农民工问题研究总报告起草组在全国11个省（区、市）调研的基础上，形成了本报告。报告分析了中国农民工的现状、作用和发展趋势。深入剖析了农民工面临的问题及深层次原因，提出了解决农民工问题的总体思路和目标，针对农民工存在的十大方面的问题提出若干政策建议，并在促进农村富余劳动力转移、加强与改善城市政府对农民工的管理和服务等维护农民工的切身利益方面阐明了应对之策。

Farmer-turned workers are very important force to promote Chinese economic and social development. Nowadays, the outstanding problems of farmer-turned workers have gotten the attentions of the central government, according to the important policy of New Countryside Construction, the investigating group investigated 11 provinces in China. The report analyses status quo,roles and development trend of farmer-turned workers, anatomizes problems they are facing and reasons, puts forward the solution routes and objective. And some sggestions and countermeasures are advanced aiming at the ten existing problems.
