新形势下地方高校外事工作的思路

On the Designs and Patterns of Local Colleges and Universities Developing Foreign Affairs

经济全球化引发的高等教育国际化浪潮,使我国的地方高校不得不面对来自国际、国内的双重挤压与竞争。高等教育国际化是一把“双刃剑”,在提出挑战的同时,也赋予了地方高校难得的发展机遇,为地方高校外事工作提供了一展身手的舞台。在此新形势下,地方高校的外事部门应抓住机遇,大胆探索符合自身实际的管理与发展模式,引领学校走有自身特色的国际化道路,促进学校的发展。

Because of internationalization of higher education induced by globalization of economy, the local colleges and universities in China are obliged to, face international and domestic competition. Internationalization of higher education also brought the local colleges and universities rare opportunity to develop themselves including their foreign affairs. Under the new situation the departments of foreign affairs of local colleges and universities should grasp the opportunity to boldly explore the patterns of administration and development which suit themselves and to guide the schools to the path of internationalization with their own distinguishing feature to promote the schools to develop better.
