英语语调教学现状与对策探讨

英语语调是说话者用以表情达意的重要手段,在口语中没有语调就没有句法。英语语音固然重要,但同语调相比,语调更重要。中国学生学习英语语音,主要问题不仅仅在于发对单个音素,而更在于读好语调,而恰恰是如果语调读不好,听起来就不象英语。本文对语调的重要性、我国英语语调教学的现状以及如何进行语调教学进行了初步探讨。

English intonation is an important means to express the thought and feelings of speakers. In spoken English, without intonation there would be no syntax. No doubt that English pronunciation is important, but compared with English intonation, the latter is much more important. In learning English pronunciation, the major problem of Chinese students is not merely to produoe individual sounds correctly, but to read sentences with correct tune. It is precise that if the tune is used wrongly or improperly, it doesnt sound like English. This article mainly focuses on the importance of English intonation, the current situation of English intonation teaching in China and the effective measures to cope with English intonation teaching.
