摘要
When Tibet celebrated the 40th anniversary of the founding of the TAR in 2005, the Central Government dispatched a congratulatory delegation on the largest scale ever seen. Among other notable events of the year were efforts to accurately measure the height of Qomolangma, the highest peak in the world; and the final arrival of Qinghai-Tibet Railway in Lhasa.
