A CAD System is developed on a micro-computer for the preliminary design of marine propulsion plants. It consists of the data base system and the design program system. It can produce a series of rational schemes automatically in accordance with the ship configurations and the design requirements and then select a optimum one, which satisfies the design objectives, using the multi-object optimum decision.
