Booming and Reasons for Mountain Ascending Poems in Tang Dynasty

登临诗发展到唐代达到一个鼎盛时期,呈现出空前的繁荣,其原因除唐帝国政治、经济、文化、思想诸方面的兴盛外,是有其自身深广的缘由的。漫游风气的盛行;积淀的传统文化观念的影响;诗歌体裁齐备、丰富多样;最高统治者重视、倡导和广大人民的爱好;文人天性中喜欢登高的爱好及文人相亲的风气都是登临诗繁荣的重要因素。

Mountain ascending poems were developed and flourished in its peak in Tang Dynasty （A. D. 618 - 907）. Apart from the reasons of the prosperity of the empire in politics, economics, culture and ideology, there were, of the poetry proper, profound reasons, among which were prevailing trend of tourism of the time, influence of deposit traditional cultural concept, the rich variety of poetry styles, the attention and advocate by the emperors, people＇s hobby, poets being fond of climbing to the mountain peaks, and fellow scholars being likely to congregate, etc.
