Forms of Inference and its Leading Factors in the Process of English-Chinese Translation

本文对英汉翻译过程中的两个典型阶段——原语语篇分析阶段和译语语篇合成阶段中的推理进行了研究，发现推理是译者进行翻译必不可少的条件；作者认为在翻译过程中，推理的形式由演绎推理占主导地位，而且推理受三个方面的因素影响：前提和结论的真实性，推理过程的合理性，以及语境变化的影响。在本文的最后，作者指出了进行翻译过程中推理研究的意义。

This article studies inferential activities in the process of English-Chinese translation, based its investigation upon the two phases - source text analysis and target text synthesis. The writers of this article hold that deductive inference dominates the translation process, and it depends upon correctness of premise and conclusion, rationality of reasoning, and constantly changing context. Besides, the writers also point out the implications of inferential study in the process of English-Chinese translation.
