摘要
讨论了垂直电偶极子在由介电常数和磁导率都为负数的介质和普通介质组成的均匀半空间中激起的电磁场,得出了场分量完整的方便计算的解析表达式。从中可以看出,当二种介质中有一种是负折射介质时,沿介质分界面传播的波除了以往所熟知的侧面波以外,还存在表面波。此种表面波沿分界面传播的波数比波分别在两种均匀媒质中传播的波数小,是一种“慢波”。当两种介质无损耗时,其沿径向传播的幅度以1/ρ1/2衰减。
The analytical expressions of electromagnetic field induced by a vertical electric dipole on a negative index media half space are obtained. It can be seen that the electromagnetic field in the presence of a half-space with negative-index media is consisted of lateral wave and surface wave. The propagation wave-number of surface wave is less than both wave number k1 in the air and wave number |k2| in the negative-index-media, so this kind of surface wave is a kind of slow wave. The amplitude of surface wave for lossless media decrease with radial diatance as 1/ρ^1/2.
