The paper introduces the design of the electric system of a new type and special ship-FPSU.It is a sumrnry of designer's unique philosophies on high voltage cable selection,fire detection and fire fighting,and emergency cut-off system.The design experiences presented in the paper will serve good reference for future designing of similar ships.
