在跨国公司研发活动日趋全球化的背景下,选择在中国设立跨国研发机构的跨国公司日益增多。是什么因素促使跨国公司在中国不断加大研发投资力度?这一趋势在今后是否能够长期持续?从交易费用理论的角度对跨国研发机构这一组织形式本身的运作模式以及在中国的发展阶段、地区分布特征等进行了探讨分析,认为在中国由于微观个体交易费用的减少,今后将会有越来越多的跨国公司在中国设立研发机构,而且在行业上会向低技术部门扩展,在区位上会向中西部扩散。

In the background of the R＆D globalization of multinationals, many R＆D centers have been set up in China. What is their future and how long it will last？ This article is a discussion of the model of R＆D centers in China and its development with in the framework of exchange cost theory. It concludes that more and more R＆D centers will appear in China, which will expand to low less technology-intensive firms and Middle-and-West areas of China in the future.
