我国古史籍中“别种”“别部”考辨

Reflect on "Another Ethnic Group"

通过对我国古史籍中有关“别种”史料的研究,认为“别种”是我国古代史家在著史时为了划分民族之间、部落之间或部落与民族之间的关系,以及表示国外民族之间、国家之间或民族与国家之间的关系时所采用的一种表达方式。同时认为“别种”与“别部”在我国古史籍中所表达的意思并不相同。并对史家在记载中出现“别种”的原因,以及“别种”这种记载法对我国后世史家在少数民族的记载和划分方面的影响做了探讨。

Studying on the term ＂Another Ethnic Group＂ used in Chinese ancient historical bibliosraphies, the author believes that ＂Another Ethnic Group＂ is one of the expression ways for ancient Chinese historians to differentiate various ethnic groups, tribes, even some differences between ethnic groups and tribes. What ＇ s more, this term is also used to distinguish different foreign ethnic groups, nations or the differences between ethnic groups and nations. Meanwhile w the anthor also holds the view that ＂Another Ethnic Group＂ and ＂Another Tribe＂ are the two different terms. This article is to study the initiation of the term ＂Another Ethnic Group＂ and its influences on the present historians about the records and catalogs of ethnic minorities in China.
